The Laborie Experience now offers tours that have been specially designed for school groups. If you are looking for a field trip that is interesting, educational & affordable – stop searching! The Laborie Experience has it all.
Our 90-minute tour brings to life the history & heritage of Saint Lucia by sharing the stories of the traditional fishing village & district of Laborie, with content directly tied into the social studies curriculum.
Our special school tour package includes:
- Trained, knowledgeable guides who enjoy working with school-aged children.
- A stop at the Laborie Community Information Centre, our small museum where students can see exhibits from the 1,000 year old history of the area including: Amerindian artefacts, how houses were built without nails, traditional fretwork, an historical timeline & more.
- A walking tour of Laborie village during which the guides will share stories of our history & heritage.
- A ‘treasure hunt’ handout for students and a teacher’s fact sheet.
- An optional visit to Morne Le Blanc, the historical site & scenic overlook above Laborie.
The Laborie Development Foundation, operator of The Laborie Experience, recognizes the importance of supporting educational opportunities for our nation’s youth, and is offering this specially designed tour at a special price for school classes and school-aged children’s groups.
- $100 for a group of up to 20 children (This price includes two free adults).
- Additional children are $5 each.
- Additional adults are $10 each.
